Issue 41 - Updates on the List of Specified Drugs

2021年12月10日

Dear Doctors,

Thank you for your participation and continual support to the Programme. We are pleased to advise you on the latest update of the List of Specified Drugs.

  1. Expansion of Programme Drug List for Co-care (O&T)

With the newly launched Co-care Service Model riding on the existing programme, the PPP patient invitation pool had been extended to eligible patients who are attending Medicine (MED) or Orthopaedics & Traumatology (O&T) SOPCs in designated clusters, fulfilling the pre-defined clinical criteria and are in stable conditions. Eligible patients would be invited by batches from 3Q 2021 onwards to join the programme under the Co-care Service Model.

We are pleased to inform you that 11 new drugs would be added to the “List of Specified Drugs” for participating patients under Co-care (O&T) programme, starting from 17 December 2021. You can refer to the Appendix for details. Please be advised that the newly added drug items only applied for participating patients referred by SOPC(O&T) under the Co-care (O&T) programme. The ordering of the 11 new drugs would be opened to Participating Service Providers with enrolled Co-care (O&T) patients starting from 17 December 2021.

Regarding the latest updates on the Co-care Service Model, an interactive online information session had been conducted for our Participating Service Providers and professional associations on 24 November 2021 afternoon. Please stay tuned for our Co-care Service Model through the e-Bulletin and webinars in understanding more about the programme and clinical management tips upon extension of the patient invitation scope.

  2. Update on Medication Pull-down List Display

In view of the expansion of disease types to be covered under the Programme, the pull-down list display of standard drug items will no longer be categorized by clinical conditions. Instead, it will be displayed in alphabetical order.

You can always make good use of the ‘Copy Drug(s)’ and ‘Smart search’ functions to facilitate the input of medication records. Please be reminded to take extra caution when entering or copying prescription records on the IT platform.

  3. Resumption of the supply of Potassium Chloride SR Tablet

The supply of the Potassium Chloride SR Tablet 600mg, which was temporary suspended due to supply interruption since December 2017, will soon be resumed. You may access the drug ordering platform on eHRSS to check the updated balance, starting from 26 December 2021.

Please be reminded that the orderable quantities of Programme Drugs are varied by the number of enrolled patients prescribed with the drug item. In this regard, timely input of prescription records in the GOPC PPP Profile is essential for you to be able to see the most updated quantity of drug that could be ordered.

Should you have any enquiries regarding the GOPC PPP, please feel free to contact us at gopcppp@ha.org.hk or via the Programme hotline 2300 7300 (after selecting language, press 5 to speak directly with our hotline staff). Thank you.

Yours faithfully,
GOPC PPP Programme Office
