Issue 44 - Enrol in the Primary Care Directory (PCD)

PCD Header
Dear Doctors,

Effective from 6 October 2023, all doctors and healthcare professionals participating in various Government-subsidised primary healthcare programmes, including the General Outpatient Clinic Public-Private Partnership Programme (GOPC PPP), are required to be enlisted on the Primary Care Directory (PCD).

The PCD is a web-based database containing practice information and professional qualifications of private primary care providers.  It serves as an easily accessible electronic platform for the community and facilitates co-ordination among different primary care providers to provide comprehensive and multi-disciplinary services.

PCD enlisting is already a prerequisite for enrolment in the District Health Centre (DHC) initiative, Vaccination Subsidy Scheme (VSS) and the Residential Care Home Vaccination Programme (RVP).  Starting from October this year, the Government will require PCD enlisting for all doctors intended to enrol in Government-subsidised primary healthcare programmes, including the GOPC PPP, Elderly Health Care Voucher (EHCV), Colorectal Cancer Screening Programme (CRCSP), District Health Centre (DHC), Vaccination Subsidy Scheme (VSS), Residential Care Home Vaccination Programme (RVP) and all upcoming new primary healthcare initiatives in the pipeline.

Currently, most doctors participating in the GOPC PPP have already enlisted in the PCD.  If you have not yet enlisted, please complete the PCD enrolment by 6 October 2023 to ensure uninterrupted participation in the GOPC PPP programme.

All registered medical practitioners who are holding a valid practising certificate with commitment to the provision of directly accessible, comprehensive, continuing and co-ordinated person-centred primary care services, are eligible to enrol in PCD.

To submit your application, please visit  https://www.pcdirectory.gov.hk and follow the simple steps to complete the enrolment procedures.
