HA is now implementing the Trauma Operative Service Collaboration Programme to divert some patients to receive trauma operative service at Private Sector. Eligible trauma patients referred by the Orthopaedics and Traumatology Department of designated HA hospitals may choose to receive specific trauma operative services at participating private hospitals.

Each referred patient will receive at least one pre-operative consultation, specific trauma operation with inpatient stay, at least two post-operative consultations and all types of peri-operative care including all diagnostic tests, examinations, medications, nursing care and physiotherapy intervention services, etc.

Participating patients only need to pay the same HA standard fees and charges. Currently, it is $80 per Specialist Outpatient Clinic attendance, $15 per drug item, $75 inpatient admission fee and $120 maintenance fee per day. Patients who are eligible for a waiver to receive the HA services will enjoy the same fee waiver arrangements in the Programme.
