To enhance patient accessibility with more choices of service locations and timeslots for investigation services, the Hospital Authority (HA) will introduce Investigation Public-Private Partnership into GOPC PPP.

Starting from 22 March 2024, the Investigation Request Note issued by doctor will indicate the designated private laboratory where patient will receive programme-specific investigation services for blood, urine and sputum tests and ECG examination free of charge. X-ray services will continue to be provided by HA.

Key highlights

• HA has assigned the designated private laboratory to clinic.
• Doctors must confirm the laboratory report in the eHRSS system.
• No additional fees are required for programme-specific investigation conducted at designated private laboratories.
• HA will continue to provide services to patients who have been referred for investigation service before 21 March 2024.
